Robert Gene “Bob” Geiger
OTTAWA – Robert Gene “Bob” Geiger, 79, of Ottawa, passed away at 10:45 p.m., Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at The Meadows of Ottawa. He was born September 22, 1946, in Bluffton to the late Francis and Mary (Core) Geiger. On May 14, 1966, he married Dianna Lynn Kline, who survives in Ottawa.
Other survivors include two children: Rhonda (Jake) Macke and Brad (Lisa) Geiger, both of Ottawa; four grandchildren: Chelsey (Nick) Gunn, Alex Ricker, Grace Geiger and Gavin Geiger; three bonus grandsons: Austin Macke, Owen (Olivia) Macke and Noah Macke; three great-grandchildren and two on the way; and a sister, Phyllis Ginther of Leipsic.
In addition to his parents, Bob was also preceded in death by an infant granddaughter, Alexis Ricker; and a brother-in-law, Terry Ginther.
Bob was a retired truck driver. He was a member of the Good Guys Car Club, Indian Lake Moose Lodge #1533, Ottawa Eagles #2234 and 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge. Bob was also an avid street rodder, loved rebuilding cars, going to car shows and enjoyed spending weekends at Indian Lake on his boat named “Leg Patrol”.
The family would like to thank Putnam County Hospice and The Meadows of Ottawa nursing staff for their great care and compassion for Bob.
Private services will be held by the family at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Putnam County Hospice or Putnam County Cancer Assistance Program (CAP).
