Robert Edward German, 87, of Titusville, Florida, passed away on October 29, 2025, at St. Francis Hospice.

Born in New London, Missouri, on May 21, 1938, Robert "Bob" was the son of Arlen and Opha German. Upon high school graduation, Bob went to work for McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis, Missouri. In 1960, Bob moved his family to Titusville, Florida, to work on the Mercury Program. Subsequently, he transitioned to Grumman Aircraft and the Apollo Program to work on the Lunar Module. He left the Space Program to become a licensed general contractor. His first building project was the Western Sizzling Restaurant, which is currently Dogs R Us. Bob was hired by a Canadian development company to build phase 1 of La Cita Golf and Country Club along with several other homes and apartments in Titusville. He had meetings with professional golfer Lee Trevino, and the two discussed their vision for La Cita.

Bob's hobby was antique cars and the restoration of classic cars. His favorite car was the 1949 Mercury, and he restored or customized many of them. He won multiple awards at car shows in both Florida and Missouri and usually brought home the Best of Show trophy.

Bob was preceded in death by his son, Robert Anthony German, sister, Barbara Sue Quirk, and brother, William German. He is survived by ex-wife, Dorothy German, daughter, Carrie Overfelt (Doug), granddaughters, Jessica Rybicki & Jenna Fonseca.

Great grandchildren Jayla, Jameson, James, and Whitney. Sister, Nancy Epperson. Yorkie, his dog and faithful companion, will miss him dearly.

There will be a private family celebration to reflect on Bob's life.
