Robert D Gerren

We lovingly remember Robert D. Gerren, known affectionately as Bob to his friends and family, who passed away on September 30, 2024, at the age of 85, in Pt. St. Lucie, Florida.
Born in Conneaut, Ohio, on March 16, 1939, Bob spent his formative years in the heart of his birthplace, where he attended local public schools and grew into a man known for his kindness, and intelligence. Bob's commitment to service was evident early in his life when he enlisted in the US Navy Submarine Service in March 1956.
His dedication to his country was unwavering, and he served with honor until his retirement in September 1975. After serving his country, Bob continued his life of service at the US Postal Service, where he worked diligently until his retirement in October 1998. Bob's life was marked by a deep and enduring love for his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Gerren, his stepdaughters Cynthia Erter and Tammy Woods, and his step-grandchildren Ashlynn Valesquez, Aliyah Woods, Alex Woods, and Christopher Parker. Each of them added a unique and joyful dimension to his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
An avid bowler, Bob could often be found at the local bowling alley, where he enjoyed the thrill of the game Bob's life was a tapestry of love to those close to him. His legacy of love and dedication will continue to live on in the hearts of his family. As we bid farewell to Bob, we celebrate the full life he lived and the countless ways he enriched our lives. We take solace in knowing that his warmth, spirit, and memories will forever be a guiding light to all who were fortunate enough to know him.
