Robert Allen Getty Jr.

Beverly, MA - Robert Allen Getty, Jr., 62, passed away October 1, 2023 at the Park Ave Health Center in Arlington, MA after a long battle with COPD. Son of the late Robert A. Getty, Sr. and Carol (Rideout) Getty, Robert was born in Gloucester and raised in Essex. He attended North Shore Vocational High School where he learned to be a plumber.
Robert worked for many years as a plumber while doing home improvements. He loved working with his hands. For many years, he lived and worked at a 12-step home facilitating the meetings that supported many people along the years. He was an avid lover of NASCAR racing and enjoyed collecting baseball cards.
Robert is Survived by his mother Carol of Beverly, his Son Joshua Getty and his wife Ashley of Sun Valley, CA, his sister Lois McKay of Beverly Farms, his brother Craig Getty of Beverly, his nephew James McKay and niece Catherine McKay and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visiting hours will take place on Thursday October 12, 2023, from 4 to 7PM at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot St. Beverly, MA 01915, family and friends are warmly invited to attend. No funeral service is planned at this time. Information, directions and condolences at www.campbell-porter.com.
