Robert Giugno Obituary
Rob graduated from Waltham High School in Massachusetts. He was a graduate of San Diego State University and held a master's degree in education from Phoenix University. Rob was a middle school science teach at the Mills Park Middle School, Cary, NC
He loved music of all kinds and was an avid vinyl collector and self taught musician. He loved his role of coach at the Mills Park Middle School and had so much fun coaching his students in volleyball, basketball and track.
Rob was a generous spirit and would help anyone in any way he could. His friends and family will miss his wit and humor most of all. He always had a ready smile and a teasing remark for everyone.
He was preceded in death by his nephew, Kevin R. McCarthy, and niece, Jill M. Keane.
He is survived by his loving spouse Katie, his siblings Karen McCarthy (Kevin), Maria Danblaus, Theresa Fortin (Dany), Ann Senibaldi (Dennis), Jimmy Giugno and Dennis Giugno. His children Bryn and Grayson Giugno. His step-children Finn, Fiona and Quinn Aitken; and so many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Special thank you' s or appreciation to his many friends and family who helped the family in so many ways for his entire cancer battle. His friends and co-workers at Mills Park who were so giving and never forgot Rob. The Duke Cancer Center (Dr. Desjardins and Oncology Nurse Rosemary Ketring), Duke Home Hospice team (Nurse Deb and Home Health Aide Tee) who helped provide his wish to remain at home.
