Robert Henry Gordon III, age 33, of Stroud, Oklahoma, passed away on January 15, 2026. He was born on February 2, 1992, to Robert Henry Gordon Jr and Tawanna Taylor Gordon.
Rob was a devoted husband, father, son, and friend whose life was centered around family, faith, and coaching. He had a true passion for mentoring youth and spent countless hours coaching basketball, football, and especially softball, which brought him great joy. Rob also loved his time spent racing. Rob was a faithful member of Jesus First Baptist Church, where his love for God and others was evident to all who knew him.
When he wasn’t coaching or spending time with his family, Rob enjoyed relaxing and playing on his PlayStation with his close friend Jeff Wintz, whom he lovingly called “a brother from another mother.” Their friendship was a source of laughter and companionship that Rob deeply treasured.
Rob was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Gordon Sr.; his grandmother, Elsa Lee; and his mother in law, Shelly Bell.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lindsey Gordon; his children, Christian Gordon, Max Bell, and Brynleigh Bell-Gordon; his parents, Robert Henry Gordon Jr and Tawanna Gordon; his sister, A’Kinley Jo Gordon; his grandparents, Louis Taylor and his wife Sandy, and Saundra Dillard and her husband Ricky; his father-in-law, Larry Bell; his sister-in-law, Lacey Bell; along with 12 aunties, 15 uncles, a host of cousins, and countless friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Rob will be remembered for his kind heart, infectious smile, dedication to coaching, and unwavering love for his family and community. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched both on and off the field.
