Robert Grabeklis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cargain Funeral Homes Inc. - Mahopac on Nov. 19, 2024.
Robert J. Grabeklis, Sr., a resident of Yorktown Heights, NY, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2024, at the age of 84. Born on September 24, 1940, to the late Walter and Helen (Von Bremer) Grabeklis, he was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, and caring brother.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara (Rutz) Grabeklis; his children, Lisa Bordenaro (Anthony) and Robert Grabeklis (Veralynn); his four treasured grandchildren; and his brother and sister-in-law, Walter Grabeklis (Bonnie). After high school, he established himself as a respected self-employed house painter, a trade he mastered with passion and dedication.
Robert loved watching football, finding immense joy in every game and he never missed the opportunity to enjoy a cold Dr Pepper. Above all, his greatest joy was being surrounded by those he loved. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he treasured every moment spent with them.
Robert's unwavering commitment to his loved ones will be fondly remembered and deeply missed. His legacy of love, hard work, and devotion to family will continue to live on through all who were blessed to know him.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 22, 2024 at Cargain Funeral Home, 418 Route 6 (GPS US-6), Mahopac, NY.
A Prayer Service will take place 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Cargain Funeral Home in Mahopac, NY.
