Grabowski, Robert
WATERVLIET - Robert E. Grabowski, 78 of West Ashley, S.C. and formerly of Watervliet, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2023, at Roper St. Francis Hospital in Charleston, S.C. after complications from heart surgery. His wife of 55 years, Joyce Grabowski, and his family were by his side.
Bob was born on September 21, 1944, and was predeceased by his father, Frances Grabowski; his mother, Genevieve Grabowski; and his younger brother, Frank Grabowski. Bob leaves his wife, Joyce Grabowski; four children, Michelle, Michael, Marcy, and Steven and their significant others, James, Julie, Joe, and Kimberle; 10 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, and many friends, especially Sophie and his buddy Scooter.

I knew Bob (Grabs as we always called him) from our Little League days as 8 year olds, right through High School and American Legion Ball. He was always our All Star 3rd baseman who had a Gold Glove. Nothing ever got by him.
I'll always remember the many good times we had together.
Rest in Peace "Grabs !"

I remember Bob as a very kind, friendly, generous, and smart man who persevered in spite of many ailments. He also had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed a blissful and long life thanks in part to his wife, Joyce, who took extremely good care of him, and created an environment in which they could enjoy each other. Their dog, Scooter also played a big part in their lives. When Joyce was not around, Bob would sneak him little bites of his own food.
Bob always had a big smile on his face when he saw me coming through the door to visit them. The first thing I did when I arrived was to give him a big hug. I loved Bob and will never forget him.
