It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Robert Allen Grantham was called home to Heaven on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, surrounded by his family and his friends until his final moments. Robbie, or as he was known to those who love him: Rob, Roup, Rooster, Racker, Robster the Lobster, Roberto, “Champ”, “Legend”, most importantly; friend, uncle, brother, son, and Dad; lived his life until the end by leading with love, kindness, and his incredible sense of humor.

Robbie was born on December 2, 1968, to parents William “Troy” Grantham and Janice Barron Grantham of Florence. Robbie went on to become an accomplished athlete in his youth, even going with the Florence Eagles to the high school football playoffs his senior year. Once he graduated high school and college, he went on to work in utility sales in Baton Rouge before returning home to Florence in 2014.

Those who know Robbie knew his two greatest passions were cheering for his Ole Miss Rebels and being a dad to his two girls, Averie and Tailor. He raised his girls with faith and made sure they always knew how proud of them he was and how much he loved them. From running them around to friends’ houses and school and sports games to making it to every college and sorority family weekend, he always had the music going so he could sing along.

He loved all things music, movies, and trying new restaurants with his daughters and his customers. He loved traveling, especially to the mountains and oceans out West.

He is welcome to heaven by his beloved mother, Janice Grantham; his paternal and maternal grandparents: W.J. and Viola Grantham, and Carlos and Maggie Barron, respectively. He is survived by his daughters, Averie and Tailor; his father, Troy; his brother and sister-in-law, Darin and Nicole, and their three children Chandler, and his wife Sally, Wyatt, and Madison.

Visitation will be held at Chancellor Funeral Home on Friday, August 1 from 5-7:00 p.m. then again on Saturday, August 2 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with services proceeding immediately after.
