ROBERT L. HARSHMAN
December 18, 1931 ˜ March 4, 2024
Robert L. Harshman died peacefully March 4, 2024, at the age of 92. The oldest of four children, Robert was born Dec. 18, 1931, to Gilbert and Lozetta Harshman in Vancouver, WA. Robert spent his whole life in Clark County, graduating from Fort Vancouver High School. After graduation, Robert enlisted in the US Navy. He was stationed in Portland, OR, on the USS McGinty and served in the Korean War. He was honorably discharged June 1, 1953, after which he served in the US Navy Reserve. Robert had a long career as a millwright, working at Carborundum Co. and Columbia Steel Casting. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Vancouver.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Joyce; his sister, Arlene; his brother, John; his sons, Loren and Marc, and daughter-in-law, Jamie; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Anita. He will be forever missed.
Robert’s life will be celebrated at a service 12:30 p.m. March 22, 2024, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

My Uncle Robert was the sweetest most loving man. I have nothing but loving memories of him. He loved my Aunt Joyce so very much as he did his two sons Loren and Marc!! Our family along with the world lost an amazing man! You will always be loved and missed Uncle Robert! Your singing with the angels now!
