Dear Martha, Keith, Lisa and Paul,
Lisa and I are deeply sorry for your loss. Nick was a great man and will be sorely missed by all that had the honor to know him.
I wanted to share a funny Nick story with you:
Many years ago, Nick and I were asked to help plow at the new Price Chopper location. It was a BIG snow storm so we agreed to go help them out. The construction manager onsite assured us that the parking lot was well marked out and there was nothing we needed to worry about hitting. So, we dropped our blades and headed across the parking lot at pretty good pace for our first push. Nick was on my left and we were running side by side. I looked over and suddenly he was gone. Unfortunately there was a concrete light post base in the parking lot that hadn´t been marked out. I turned around, rushed back to see what happened only to find Nick´s truck folded up like an accordion. I ran to his window to make sure he was ok and saw that he was bleeding from the mouth. I asked, Nick are you ok? You must have knocked some teeth out! Without hesitation he reached in his mouth, pulled out his dentures and said, "Nope, they look OK to me", and put them back in his mouth. Nick suffered a concussion that day, but he was a tough man and never let it slow him down. I have so many funny stories I could share about Nick. It was my great honor to call him my friend and I will miss him terribly.
