Robert "Awesome Bob" Andrew Hayden, 85, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025. Bob was a devoted father, papa, brother, uncle, and friend, who brought joy to the lives of all. An avid golfer and bowler, he cherished the moments spent with family and friends. Bob was a dedicated member of Beulah Presbyterian Church since the 1960s, where he formed lasting bonds within his community. Bob will truly be missed by anyone and everyone who had the honor of knowing him.
Born on April 5, 1939, in Louisville, Kentucky, Bob was the son of Henry and Lucile (Lake) Hayden. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry R. Hayden and Lucile Hayden, his son Charles "Chuck" Hayden, grandson Steven Kirby, Jr., and brother George Hayden.
Bob's legacy lives on through his loving children: Melinda Sue Kirby, David Allen Hayden, Lori Denise (Caesar) Hayden, and Michael Sowder. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Jade Smith, Amanda (William) Hipple, Cierra (Raymond) Druin, Michael (Lauren) Kirby, James Martelle, and Jordan Archangel; as well as his great-grandchildren, Olyvia Mayes, Hadley Kirby, Parker Kirby, Jaxson Druin, Jace Druin, Ella Hipple, and Eden Hipple; Ex-Wife, Judy Hayden. Bob's memory will be forever treasured by a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Beulah Presbyterian Church, located at 6704 Bardstown Rd., Louisville, KY 40291. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 5:00 PM at the same location.
