Church Funeral Services & Crematory - Saint AmantRobert Joseph "Bear" Hebert passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025 at the age of 87. He was affectionately known as “Bear” to those that knew him. Robert was born on July 20,1938 in St Amant, Louisiana to Raymond and Zilder (Templet) Hebert. He was known for his kind heart and unwavering dedication to his family. He had a passion for cars and anything Mopar which he loved and could talk about for hours. He was retired from both the grocery and automotive industries. He was a lifelong member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Robert was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He is survived by his children, David (Martha) and Callie (Brad); a brother, Perry Hebert; brothers-in-law, CJ Burns and Mark Kernan; many nieces, nephews and countless friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 60 years, Phyllis E. (Burns) Hebert.
The family would like to thank Donna and Randall St. Pierre, Dele Frederic and Mr. & Mrs. Ronald Sessions; we are grateful to you all!
A memorial mass to celebrate Robert's life will be held at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church St Amant, Louisiana on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 11:00 am with a reception will follow.
