Robert James Henderson

Robert J. "Bob" Henderson, 80, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, August 13, 2025. He was born November 7, 1944 at home in Rushville, Ohio to Howard and Alma (Seifert) Henderson. 

Bob was a 1962 graduate of Sheridan High School and began his working career Kaiser Aluminum, then Hortis Brothers and CE Glass. Bob never shied away from hard work, as his entire life he farmed while maintaining a full-time job. He was a bus driver, beginning his career at Northern Local Schools, 32 years with Fairfield Union Local Schools, then a stint with Lancaster City Schools and the YMCA. He was a faithful member of Avlon United Brethren in Christ Church. 

Bob is survived by his wife of 36 years, Carol L. (Stimmel) Henderson, whom he married March 9, 1989; and his sister, Dottie Ackers. He was preceded in death by his parents. 

A time to visit with his family will be Sunday, August 17th from 3 - 6 PM at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 6935 Township Road 234, Logan, OH 43138. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 18th at 10 AM with Pastor Jason Sheets officiating. Graveside services will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery.
