Robert Heppner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Flanigan Funeral Home & Crematory on Mar. 6, 2026.
Robert Frederick Heppner, born December 10, 1956, passed away on February 26, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, faith, family, and community.

A native of Louisville, Ohio, Robert carried his hometown values with him throughout his life. He later made his home in Buford, Georgia, where he built a life centered on hard work, loyalty, and love for his family.

A devoted Catholic, Robert's faith guided his life and values. He lived with a quiet strength and a servant's heart, striving to reflect Christ's love through his dedication to family and community.

Robert graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School before continuing his education at Walsh University. A talented athlete, he was honored with induction into the Walsh University Golf Hall of Fame - a testament to his skill, commitment, and lasting impact on the sport and the university community. He went on to build a career as a financial analyst and senior auditor in the financial industry.

He had a love for life's simple pleasures: golf, good wine, and time spent with the friends he cherished. Above all, Robert treasured the moments shared with his wife and family, who were the center of his world.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Kathy Heppner; his sons, Chris Heppner (Kristin) and Jason Heppner (Brooke); and his grandchildren, James Heppner, Kayleigh Heppner, Lawson Heppner, Liam Heppner, and Landry Heppner.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Student Building at Gwinnett Church, Sugar Hill, Georgia.

He will be remembered for his strength, dedication, and the deep love he had for those closest to him. His presence will be profoundly missed and forever carried in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
