Robert Herrera Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Old Bridge Funeral Home - Old Bridge on Feb. 11, 2026.
Robert Herrera, 64 of South River passed surrounded by family. He was 64. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, he moved to Old Bridge, New Jersey in the late 80's, where he raised three daughters before settling in South River.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ignacio and Filomena Herrera; older brother, Dennis Herrera; and his late wife, Doreen Herrera. He is survived by his wife Kelly Herrera; brother Joseph Herrera; daughters Nicole Herrera, Antoinette Herrera , and Crystina Herrera; Grandaughters Natalie Herrera and Aubrey DeBow; step sons Kyle and Stevie Baszak; and grandpups Winnie, Carly, & Skye.

Robert spent over 20 years at Pepsi, but his real passion was feeding and entertaining those he loved. Also the Dallas cowboys. He had a playful sense of humor, if a word or phrase you said matched a song lyric, he'd sing it right back to you. He was the grill master at the Old Bridge Rams Clubhouse, flipping burgers with a smile, and at home, his legendary sausage and peppers were a party staple. He shared his culinary creations online too, proudly posting photos on Facebook so friends and family could enjoy a taste from afar.

He showed love through food, laughter, and simply being there. Robert leaves behind a legacy of smiles, music, and meals shared with friends and family. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his heart, his humor, and his uncanny ability to make life brighter-and a little tastier.
