Robert Bradley Herrick (August 2, 1957 - December 17, 2025)
Robert Bradley Herrick, 68, of Prospect, KY (formerly of Prestonsburg, KY), passed away at home on December 17, 2025.
He was born in Prestonsburg on August 2, 1957 to Calvin and Phyllis Herrick. Rob attended Western Kentucky University before furthering his studies at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Upon completion of his residency, he returned to his hometown to open his own dental practice, Robert B. Herrick Family and Cosmetic Dentistry, where he served his community for 35 years. He was a member of the Kentucky Dental Association and the Kentucky Mountain Dental Society. Following retirement, Rob served as the adjunct clinical instructor of the Dental Hygiene program at the Big Sandy Community & Technical College, where he was a steady mentor, provided trusted support, and was lovingly referred to as "one of the girls." Rob was an avid golfer and runner, finishing the Boston Marathon in 2017. Rob will be remembered for his dedication to his community. He was a member of Kiwanis Club of Prestonsburg, a lifelong member of the Prestonsburg First United Methodist Church, where he served on several committees, a former Board member of StoneCrest Golf Course and of Archer Park, and, his favorite, a former coach of the Prestonsburg Little League.
Rob was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Phyllis Herrick, his brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Ann Herrick, and his brother-in-law, Tim Spears. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Pam, his children, Brooks (Michelle) Herrick, Kate (Karl) Robinson, his granddaughters, Violet, Darcy, and Thea, who were the light of his life, a brother, Alan (Lori) Herrick, nieces and nephews, Sarah (Wes) Williford, Emily (Matt) Melton, Jake (Lauren) Herrick, Scott (Kat) Herrick, and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews.
A graveside service to honor Rob's life will be held on Saturday, December 20 at 11:00 AM at Cave Hill Cemetery (Magnolia Mausoleum) in Louisville, KY, where all are invited to attend.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 21 at 3:00 PM at Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, 234 S. Lake Dr., Prestonsburg, KY, with visitation preceding from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
