Kendra LeAnne (Dixon) Wilson age 39 of Corbin, Kentucky passed from this life on Sunday, January 25, 2026 at her home.
She was born on October 17, 1986 in Somerset, Kentucky to William "Bill" Dixon and Therese (Moore) Dixon.
Preceding her in death is her grandparents, Steve and Betty Dixon, and "papaw", Wendell Wilson.
Surviving family include her husband, Colby Wilson whom she married May 26, 2012 and their children, Lucy, Claire, and Kade Wilson; her parents, Bill and Therese Dixon; a brother, Jason Dixon (and Chantay), sisters, Destiny Dixon Baird (and Hank), and Adaha Dixon; her grandparents, Bill and Phyllis Moore; her mother-in-law, Angela Wilson-Douglas; "Mamaw" Rose Wilson; and brother-in-law, Matthew Douglas (and Madison).
Also surviving are Kendra's niece and nephews that she loved as her own children, Ayslinn Dixon, Easton Dixon, Elliot Baird, and soon to be, Levi Baird.
Kendra was a member of the Lower Hickory Grove Baptist Church and a graduate of the McCreary Central High School Class of 2005. After graduation, Kendra furthered her education at Western Kentucky University. There she obtained a master's degree and became a Speech Language Pathologist for the Whitley County Board of Education. Little did she know what lives she would touch through that achievement. In her down time, Kendra enjoyed playing card games, reading, and going camping. She enjoyed family get-togethers and taking her children to their activities. Kendra will always be remembered for her kind, sweet, and gentle soul as well as her contagious smile that could light up a room.
Funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Michael Wilson and Bro. Mark Sewell officiating. Burial to follow in the Lower Hickory Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday after 11:00 am until service time at the funeral home.
*As a special tribute, Kendra's favorite color was purple. If you are able and wish to, let us all join together by adding a little color to such a tragic situation by wearing the color purple in her honor.
