Robert Hinze Obituary

Published by Legacy on Mar. 10, 2025.
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) George Hinze on February 19th, 2025, at the age of 77. Bob was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, on July 21st, 1947. He was a devoted father, grandfather, sibling, and friend. He was known for his kind heart, generosity, humor, infectious laugh, and unwavering love for his family.
Bob is survived by his children, Pete (Kelly) and Alicia (Sean), along with his cherished grandchildren: Dylan and Norah Hinze and Sydney and Milena Garrick. He is also survived by his siblings: Joe (Terry), Mary (Bruce), and Jim (Sharon). His legacy of love, laughter, and wisdom will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to knowing him.
He was an avid sportsman with a love for the outdoors, nature and animals. He loved working and rebuilding classic cars with his family and friends.
He had a passion for his work where he was the co-owner of Minneapolis Sheet Metal. The success of the business and the well-being of his employees were always close to his heart, leaving a legacy of leadership, hard work and integrity.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bob's name to Habitat for Humanity, reflecting his generous spirit.
A Celebration of Life will be held this spring to honor Bob's memory and the many lives he touched. Details of the service will be shared in the coming weeks.
Bob will be dearly missed but not forgotten. May his memory be a blessing for all who knew him.
