Robert "Kevin" Hockaday, 59 of Urbanna, VA, passed away Sunday January 12, 2025 in his home.
Kevin was the son of the late Robert Francis and Charlotte Ann Hockaday Carneal. He was married and survived by his loving wife Molly Murphy Hockaday for 19 years.
He is survived by his children, son, Shawn Hockaday (Christina); daughter, Samantha Hockaday; stepdaughter, Jaime Doucette; grandchildren, Rhonda Rae, Landon, Talan, Tucker, Dylan and Aaron. Sister, Renee Hockaday Hundley (Mike); Brother, Brian Keith Hockaday (Holly) and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Also, a special family member "Baby Grace".
Kevin was a man with strong work ethics, he worked his whole life in the construction industry starting at a young age, alongside his father. He has been a superintendent for many years. The love of the outdoors was his passion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, riding the four-wheeler and hosting cookouts with family and friends.
A funeral service will be held 1 pm, Friday, January 17, 2025, at Vincent Funeral Home, 417 11th St, West Point, VA. The family will receive friends an hour prior to services. The burial will follow at Williamsburg Memorial Park, 130 King William Dr, Williamsburg, VA, immediately following services.
In lieu of flowers, please donate in Kevin's Honor to either St. Jude's, Wounded Warriors or a charity of your choice.
The family would like to thank Vincent's funeral home and Pastor Dan Granthum for their services.
