Robert Earl Hogan

Robert Earl Hogan, 83, of Elkton, VA, went to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 26, 2026. Mr. Hogan was born on June 18, 1942 in Springhill Louisiana, and was the son of the late Albern Earl Hogan and Laura Belle Holden Hogan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Richard D. Hogan & Marvin T. Hogan; sisters, Faye Winegeart, Jeannie Hathaway & Wanda Warren.

Mr. Hogan grew up in Louisiana and attended North East Louisiana University and Alabama A&M. He served our country in the United States Army for 21 years, retiring as a First Sergeant. He was a lifetime member of the NRA, served on the Board of Directors for the Louisiana Wildlife Federation, served as President of the Tupawek Archery Club and was a member of the Louisiana Archer Association, the American Red Cross for 30 years, taught Sunday school at Bethany Baptist Church for many years and was a current active member of Bear Lithia Springs Baptist Church. He served the local chapter of Gideons International for 17 years. He retired as a supervising Criminal Investigator for the Department of Agriculture after 31 years of service.

Mr. Hogan is survived by his wife, Wanda Lee Hogan; daughters, Leigh Ann Hogan, Robin Lemon and husband, Mel; sons, William "Bill" Miller, Rodney Williams and wife, Loretta, Kerry Williams and wife, Dawn; brother, Roger G. Hogan and wife, Anita; sister, Janice Yossett and husband, Benny; grandchildren, Jessica Robinson and husband, Trevor, Derrick Miller, Aerika Williams, Calvin Williams, Quinton Williams, and wife, Marisa, Christian Lemon and wife, Aejung, Sidney Mills and husband, Robert, Brianna Williams, and Kolbi Hogan; great-grandchildren, Liam and Silas Robinson, Sebastian Dellinger, Easton and Layna Puffenbarger, Wyatt Williams, Zella, Alenna and Nora Williams, Auston and Bode Williams, Haru Lemon, and Paisley and Oliver Mills.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, April 3, 2026 at the Bear Lithia Springs Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Leatherman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 – 8 p.m., Thursday, April 2, 2026 at the church.
