Robert L. Horstmeyer

April 3, 1949 - January 12, 2025

DODGEVILLE/McFARLAND - Robert L. Horstmeyer, age 75, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at St. Mary's Hospital. He was born in Madison on April 3, 1949, the son of William and Yvonne Horstmeyer.

After high school Bob worked as a mechanic for Chief's Automotive, where his father raced midgets and sprint cars for Harry Whitehorse. Bob retired as a shipping coordinator and part-time driver for Praxair Propane Company. He was a devoted corvette owner and enjoyed his corvette club. Bob liked to take the RV and plan a get away every winter somewhere new.

Bob is survived by his wife, Ann; two sons; five grandchildren; and brother, Bill. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial gathering will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison.

A special thank you to the staffs of SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital, Agrace HospiceCare Inc., and Coventry Village for their care of Bob.
