Robert Joseph Hubert, age 82, of Lebanon, Ill., born September 26, 1939 in Belleville, Ill., passed away February 6, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his family, who loved and cherished him.
Bob was a dedicated and loyal employee for Robert "Chick" Fritz for 31 years. He begin as a driver then worked as an on-premise sales manager. His "full-time" job was always farming. His farm was his life, and his pride and joy. He loved being a farmer with his whole heart, and he enjoyed "muddin" with his four-wheelers. Most of all, he enjoyed entertaining with his family. Bob had a heart like an open book, and each person had a chapter.
He was preceded in death by his parents Wilburt and Florence, nee Matysik, Hubert; brother Wilburt Hubert; and two sons Robert W. Hubert and Clifford M. Hubert.
Surviving are his loving wife Jessie "Fay," nee Poole, Hubert, whom he married April 5, 1960; his son Mark (Angi) Hubert of Trenton, Ill., and daughter Sharon (Paul) Warhover of Trenton, Ill.; grandchildren Amanda, Jessica (Kevin), Lori (Tim), and Averi (John); and eight great- grandchildren; sisters Kathleen (Joe) Bernreuter and Shirleen Dressler; and brother Donald (Geri) Hubert, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.wfh-ofallon.com. Memorial donations are suggested to Family Hospice, to whom the family is grateful for their kindness and compassion.
The family will receive friends from 4 –7 pm, Friday, February 11, 2022 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 625 St. Nicholas Dr., O'Fallon; and one hour prior to services on Saturday.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am, Saturday, February 12, 2022 at the church, with Msgr. William J. Hitpas presiding. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Shiloh, Ill.
