Robert Jeffrey Ishler

Robert Jeffrey "Jeff" Ishler, age 61, passed away peacefully at home in Gahanna, Ohio on May 9, 2025, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of thirty-one years, Kimberly Ishler; daughters, Katie (Vincent) McKinney and Julie (Sam) Brosius; six beautiful grandchildren, Camie (Waylon), Olivia, Claire, Bryce, Bradlee and Frances; sister, Robin Comchoc; nephew, Matthew Comchoc; great-niece, Penelope Comchoc; and many more nieces and nephews.
Jeff was proceeded in death by his parents, Bob and Dottie Ishler. Jeff was born on July 4,1963 and truly lived that firecracker life until his very last breath. Jeff is a veteran of the United States Navy. He was loved deeply by so many friends and neighbors who were like family. He had many friends in the community and many that he knew from his childhood. Special love and appreciation to Capital City Hospice and the nurses who took such good care of him-Jamie, Simone, Emily and Miranda.
Jeff worked for many years in Avionics. He enjoyed his time working for The Mug, The Gahanna Hardware store and Craleys Lock shop, where he developed so many important and loving friendships.
Jeff deeply loved his wife Kim, who he often referred to as his beautiful bride. His grandkids will tell you he made the best chocolate milk ever. Jeff will be waiting in his Moat for his beloved son-in-law, Vince. His six grandkids truly lit his eyes up every time he was around them. Their lives will forever be touched by the impact he had on them. They were six lucky kids to call him Papa/Grandpappy.
The family will welcome family and friends at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at the Gahanna Sanctuary, 82 North High Street, Gahanna, Ohio 43230. Service with military honors to be held at 12:00 p.m. Luncheon to follow.
