Robert Luedavid Jamison Jr.

Robert Luedavid Jamison Jr. peacefully transitioned home to be with our Lord on October 18, 2025, at the age of 73.

Robert was the eldest child born to the late Clayona Althea Calvin Jamison and Robert Luedavid Jamison Sr. in New Orleans, Louisiana.
He started his Christian journey at an early age and was baptized at First Free Mission Baptist Church by the late Reverend General Benjamin Franklin.
Robert was a proud graduate of All Saints School, Saint Augustine High School, and Southern University. He studied at Delgado Community College and then trained at Murray Henderson Funeral Home to become a licensed Funeral Director.
Robert and Fayetta Miles met at church, became friends, and were married a blessed fifty-five years; four heavenly gifts–his children–were given to this union.
Robert was employed by the Department of Agriculture for 34 years, and briefly worked as a Funeral Director for his Godmother–Erma Gibbs.
He was a dedicated, humble, loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather. Robert was an avid sports fan.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife–Fayetta Jamison; children–Dana (Tremayne) Bailey, Daria (Jeremy) Geary, Rashida (Benjamin) Poole, and Robert Jamison III; grandchildren–Adirah Poole, Damien (Jessica) and Stephen Smith, Robert Jamison IV, Ronnie Charles Jr., Jeremy Jr., Zachary, and Gabriel Geary. bonus granddaughters Gabrielle Hobbs and Brianna Poole; great-grandchildren–Tasia, Remy, and Madeline Smith, and Joda Koster; brother–Bruce Jamison; in-laws–Carolyn (Wilbert) Thibodeaux, Glenda (Charles) Robinson, and Walter (Deborah) Miles; and a host of family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to the funeral service on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at First Free Mission Baptist Church of Algiers, 426 Lamarque Street, New Orleans, LA 70114.
Rev. Derrick Edmond will officiate.
The Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
The Interment will take place on Monday, November 3, 2025, at 12:00 PM, at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 1225 Whitney Avenue, Gretna, LA 70056.
