Robert Hudson Jones, 93, entered eternal life on October 16, 2025. He was born to Carl and Bessie Jones on November 13, 1931 in Akron, OH. He was a graduate of Akron South High School, a proud Korean War veteran, graduate of the University of Akron, and a teacher with Akron Public Schools for 30 years.
Bob Married his wife, Jacqueline Lauck, on December 27, 1958. They shared nearly 68 years of a beautiful marriage filled with many joys and adventures. They traveled extensively to Europe, South Korea, Russia, and Japan multiple times. Bob was also very active with Korean War Veterans and served as honor Guard at countless veteran's funerals.
Bob was a talented artist, with many of his pictures in the homes of family and friends. Having no children of their own, they shared in the lives of many nieces and nephews, all of whom have many "Uncle Bob Stories".
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, brother Thomas Carl, sister Beverly DeAngelis, mother -in-law and father-in-law Earl and Beatrice Lauck, brother-in-law Kenneth Lauck, and sister-in-law Shirley Kissner.
He leaves behind his beloved wife Jacqueline, brother-in-law Pete DeAngelis, sisters-in-law Margaret Lauck and Linda (Dennis) Fulk, and his many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 20, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Paul's Catholic Parish (241 S. Main St., North Canton, OH 44720) with Rev. Fr. Matthew Zwilling as celebrant. Viewing time will be Monday morning from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at Reed Funeral Home NORTH CANTON Chapel (801 Pittsburg Ave. NW, North Canton, OH 44720).
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Sanctuary Grande Assisted Living, and especially to Corso Care Hospice for their devoted service.
