Beth Tonsky, 69, passed away on October 10, 2025. Beth was surrounded by her family, when she won her battle with Parkinson's, following a short illness.
Beth is preceded in death by her parents, Harry "Jack" Zollars and Edith Zollars; brothers, Richard "Dick" Zollars and Neal Zollars. Also preceding her was special cousin, Paula Lowmiller. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Thomas Tonsky; and her four children, Andrea Price (Christopher), Matthew Tonsky, Jenna Campbell (John), and Emily Slider (Scott). Beth had five grandchildren, Christopher, Andrew, Kaleb, Ashley, and Michael. She has one great granddaughter, Lenora Beth. Also surviving is Beth's sister-in-law, and best friend, Marsha Manfred-Sikorszky (Roger); and special nephews, Kevin and Nicholas. Beth also leaves behind a large extended family and many friends, all of whom she loved dearly.
Beth was a member of the Canton Rotary, and attended Perry Christian Church for many years. The highlight of Beth's career revolves around her years of devoted service to the ministry of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Canton. Her dedication to the idea that everyone deserves a stable, safe home, was a true reflection of her spirit.
Those who knew Beth will remember her for her sage advice, dry wit, and unwavering support for the causes and people she loved. She found joy in the simple, sincere parts of her life; cooking, tending to her flowers, embracing anything country, and spending time with the many family and friends that she treasured.
Beth will be deeply missed by those who loved her for her kindness, strength, and genuine concern for others. She will be remembered for her unwavering faith, which was an inspiration to all that knew her over the years.
Beth loved her family more than anything. Her husband, Tom, was the light of her life. Her four children were her pride and joy. Her real Gold, however, was in the special bonds she shared with each of her grandchildren and great granddaughter. The most special relationship that Beth shared was with her grandson, Mikey. Her family takes great solace and comfort knowing that Beth now has her arms wrapped around Mikey, serving as his guardian angel for the rest of his life.
Services will be held at Reed Funeral Home North Canton Chapel (801 Pittsburg Ave. NW, North Canton); with calling hours Wednesday, October 15, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and Thursday, October 16, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM.
The family would like to add a special thank you, to the Aultman Hospice Foundation. The kindness and support that was shown to our family was overwhelming.
In lieu of flowers, Beth would like donations to be made to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Canton. Please visit www.reedfuneralhome.com to sign the online guestbook.

My sincere condolences to all of Beth´s family on her passing. She was a great lady whom I enjoyed working with on the Carrollton Schools Alumni Foundation. I was in Neal´s class in school, and Beth´s mom was my sub when I had my third son! My brother, Jim Atchison, might have been in Beth´s class. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
