A celebration of life service for Robert will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, November 21, 2025 at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Robert Dean Kaiser, known to his family and friends as Bob, was born on July 29, 1926, in Larned, Kansas and moved to heaven on November 11, 2025, in Mt Pulaski, Illinois. The youngest of Emil and Edna (Hewson) Kaiser's three children, Bob grew up in the midst of the Great Depression and developed some early hobbies and loves in his childhood that he would keep throughout his entire life: a love of chocolate, a love of stamp collecting, a strong and quiet love for the Lord, and a deep love for family.
It is perhaps fitting that Bob passed away on Veterans' Day, as a World War II veteran who eagerly and proudly served his country. Bob entered the Navy as soon as he was able, enlisting immediately after graduating from Larned High and turning 18 in 1943. His skills as a bugler were put to good use during his time in service. During his time in the Navy, he also developed an interest in mechanical repair and work, acquired through his work on the Navy's battleships.
After his discharge, Bob returned to Larned and applied this interest by working as a mechanic. One day, while delivering a car to Larned High, Bob met the new teacher, Lois Jean Ingersoll. When telling this story to his grandchildren, Bob described her as a "beautiful dark-haired angel." Bob and Lois were married on June 24, 1956, in Ottawa, Kansas, the start of a long and happy marriage.
Bob graduated from The University of Kansas in 1961 with a B.S. in business administration. Bob then started two new careers, one at Farmland Industries and one as father to Linda and Ronnie.
In 1973, Bob and his family moved to
Enid, Oklahoma, where Bob would live for the next 44 years. Bob loved his job as purchasing and warehouse supervisor and his colleagues at Farmland, where he worked until his retirement in 1991. He loved his church, First United Methodist Church, where he was an active and faithful member. Bob and Lois loved to travel, enjoying Village Travel bus tours that took them all over the US. When home in Enid, he and Lois volunteered at the Midgley Museum and with their Sunday School class. After Lois's passing in 2008, Bob added volunteering at St. Mary's Hospital to his busy schedule. In 2017, Bob moved to Illinois to be closer to Linda.
Bob now joins his wife Lois, his parents Emil and Edna, his sister Hilma, brother Clayton, and his grandson Robert Coleman Miller in glory. He is remembered and mourned by his two children, Linda Miller and Ronnie Kaiser, their spouses Bill Miller and Kathy Kaiser, his five grandchildren and their spouses (Ashley and Cyle Davis, Lynneth and Adam Renberg, Leanna and Benjamin McKenzie, Peggy and Ryan Allbritten, and Peter and Ala Tabibian-Miller), and his six great-grandchildren (Cooper and Carter Davis, Liliana and Robert Renberg, and Carson and Kaydence McKenzie). Bob loved his family, his church, and his friends well, leaving behind a rich legacy of love and faithfulness–- he will be deeply and forever missed.
Memorials may be made through Anderson-Burris to Vonderlieth Living Center in Mt. Pulaski. IL, Gary Sinise Foundation (for defenders, veterans, First Responders, and their families and those in need) or OMRF Cancer Division.
