Robert H. "Sam" Kallenborn, of Munhall, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on September 25, 2024, at the age of 87.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Evelyn (Pollack) Kallenborn; son, Robert (Beth) Kallenborn; grandchildren, Andrew and Troy (Rebecca Maguire) Kallenborn; great-grandchildren, Aiden Maguire, Ella Marie Kallenborn, and Landon Adam Kallenborn; as well as many extended family members, and his faithful companion, Buddy. He was the son of the late Henry Kallenborn and June (Riggs) Kline.
Sam was a former employee of Mesta Machine and Whemco until his retirement. He was a lifelong member of Munhall #5 VFD and the American Slovak Citizen Club. A true Pittsburgh sports fan, Sam bled black and gold and held season tickets for several years for the Steelers and Penguins.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, September 29, 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120. A Blessing Service will be held at the Funeral Home the following morning on Monday, September 30, 10 AM. Interment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Pittsburgh.

We met Evelyn and Sam in Aruba many years ago and instantly became friends , Sam loved his family and his queen Evelyn.

We will cherish all our memories over the years.
