Robert John Kemerer

Kemerer, Robert John, of Oxford passed away January 5, 2026. He was 90. Beloved husband of the late Beverly; loving father of LuAnn (Bob) Peters, Don (Lisa) Kemerer, Scott (Julie) Kimmel, Bryan Kimmel, and Chris (Laura) Kimmel; proud grandfather of Jesse, Janah, Fawn (Brandon), Kacey (Kaleb), Isabel, Keith (Sarah), Duane, Christie (Rachel), Nick (Amanda) and Clay (Jamie); great-grandfather of 12 with one more on the way; brother of the late Leonard, Helen, and Earl Kemerer. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Bob was a faithful man who lived life to its fullest, loved his Family with all his being, and was loved by everyone who knew him. He was an amazing Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, and friend to all. Bob possessed a strong work ethic that he passed on to all of his kids who have all had successful careers as a result of his life influence. Bob loved all kinds of sports, spending much of his time watching his favorite teams playing football, basketball, and baseball, especially if the teams were from Pittsburgh and Detroit. Throughout his life he enjoyed coaching and watching his Children, Grandchildren, and Great Grandchildren participating in a variety of sports. In his later years, Bob enjoyed calling bingo or playing cards with his friends at New Hope, going to Car Shows, or just spending time with any of the youngsters in his life especially his Grandkids and Great Grandkids.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026 – 12pm at Divine Grace Lutheran Church, 3000 S. Lapeer Road, Lake Orion. The family will receive friends at the church Thursday 10:30 am until time of service. Interment will take place at 2pm at Christian Memorial Cemetery, Rochester Hills.
