Robert passed away at home with his wife, children, and grandchildren by his side at the age of 85. He was born to Alvis and Margaret Keys on July 21, 1939. Known to his friends and family as Bob, Bobby or Pawpaw, Bob was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas and graduated from W.B. Ray High School in 1957.

Bob was truly a family man, nothing was more important to him. He loved fishing, hunting and sharing holidays with his family. He started delivering newspapers on his bike at the age of 12. He was a farmer, mechanic, maintenance manager of several refineries and owner of the Corpus Christi Pop-a-Lock. He was a huge fan of Calallen Wildcats Football.

Preceding Bob in death were his parents, brothers Leon (Jeannine), and Charles, his granddaughter Cheryl Bear, and many close friends.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Sandra, his daughters Jana (Rocky) Bear, Roberta (Danny) Kurtz, and Natalie Deal, grandchildren Tory Bear, Randi (John) Brooke, Lindsey Bear, Reid Deal, and Rayce (Kaitlyn) Deal, extended family Lisa Scarborough, and Katy (Troy) Bradshaw. He had 11 great grandchildren.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Saturday, January 25th, 2025 at Kurtz Party Barn 5606 CR 73, Robstown, Texas 78380.
