Bob was my "Roomie" in Montclair for my last 2 years and I was his Best Man when he and Fran married. We 3 have been friends for 65 years. We spoke every month. His last few years showed their love and strength due to his failing health. Was there ever a greater demonstration of mutual devotion as they fought his ailments? I will think of him daily.

I first met Bob as a reporter covering the Lakewood industrial Commission, which he chaired. Bob was a hard-working, dedicated public servant who always had a kind word and gentle smile to share with those who met him. My sincere condolences to his lovely wife Fran, their family, and the countless Lakewood students whose lives he impacted as an educator and role model for so many years. Rest in peace.
