Robert Kleps Obituary
He was born on March 17, 1946 in Geneva, the son of William and Alice (Brewster) Kleps.
Robert went on to honorably serve his country in the United States National Guard. After completing his military service, he married the love of his life, Joyce Cumberledge, on August 8, 1970. Together, they raised two children. Robert spent his career at STP/Clorox, where he worked as a tow motor driver until his retirement. In his free time, he enjoyed going to yard sales, collecting various treasures, playing video games, and taking pride in caring for his lawn.
Robert is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joyce Kleps (Cumberledge); children, Robert Scott (Amy) Kleps and Lorie Jean (Lou) Lawson; grandchildren, Hannah (Joey) Phillips, L.J (Sierra) Lawson, and Andrew Lawson; great-grandchildren, Easton James Lawson, Brandon Kravetz, and Caitlynn Kravetz; siblings, James A. (Ruth) Kleps, Gary Kleps, Gordon (Sandy) Kleps and Denise (Bruce) Fitzgerald; sister-in-laws, Carol Kleps and Gail Kleps; he also has numerous nieces and nephews.
Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by his step parents, Fannie Kleps and Fred Sipes; siblings, William A. Kleps, and John Kleps.
Calling hours will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 11AM-1PM at Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 W. Prospect Rd., Ashtabula. A service will immediately follow at 1PM with Pastor Jay Toro officiating.
Memorials contributions may be made to Gateway Church, 2300 Austinburg Rd, Ashtabula, OH 44004.

Bobby Kleps, as a 5th grader, was in my 1st teaching experience & it wasat Geneva Elementary, in 1956.
It touched me to see what he did later on.
He was a very sweet student.
His mother had the corner Bakery in downtown, Geneva,
We took field trips to True Temper & Chardon Maple Sugar festival.
I was age 20 & loved my 1st class including Bobby.
I send my sympathy to family members for their loss.
