William Ruffo Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home on Jan. 12, 2026.
William Alexander Ruffo, Jr., 78, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at his home in Ashtabula.
He was born on June 15, 1947 in Ashtabula, the son of William and Margaret (Pershano).
At a young age, Billy "Kick" made the selfless decision to honorably serve our country in the United States Army in the 101st Airborne Division. After returning to Ashtabula, he worked for Conrail Railroads. He was a father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. William lived his life with no regrets, stating he had the best friends and lived in the best town in the world. He loved hunting and enjoyed playing bass for his band, Bobby & The Bops; he truly lived the life of a rockstar up until his passing.
William is survived by his son, Scotty (Beth Ann) Frasure; grandchildren, Brittany (David) Valore, Anthony Frasure, and Rose Frasure; great-grandchildren, Luca and Lola Valore; and his sister, Carol Weaver.
Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lucielle Labry.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Peace Parish, Mt. Carmel, 1200 E 21st St, Ashtabula, OH 44004, on Friday, January 16, 2026 at 10AM, with Ft. Connor Hetzel presiding. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
