Robert C. "Bob" Kling

age 83 of Canton, passed away July, 21 2025. Born August 14, 1941 in Canton to his late parents Dellmore and Bernadine (Campbell) Kling. Along with his four brothers, Robert was raised in NE Canton in his beloved Gibbs School neighborhood. He attended Gibbs Elementary, McKinley and Perry High Schools. Bob retired in August 2000 from the Timken Company after 34 years of service. Bob was a long-time volunteer, coach, umpire and league officer for Canton Southwest Mitey Mite baseball, and the J. Babe Stearn Community Center. Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Allen Kling and Donald Kling, and his daughter-in-law, Angela Spivey-Kling. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Linda (Buss) Kling; two sons, Christopher (Susan) Kling, and Keith Kling (Patti Canter); six grandchildren, Jessica Kling (Tony Wall), Kyle (Emily) Kling, Quin Kling, Manon Kling, Marlee (Noah) Callaghan and Ryley Kling; three great grandchildren, Adelyn Wall, and Charlotte and Maxwell Kling; two brothers, David (Bonnie) Kling and Dale (Rosemarie) Kling; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Services will be held Fri. at 11 am in the J. Babe Stearn Community Center. Interment in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Thur. from 6-8 pm in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family strongly encourages donations be made to J. Babe Stearn Boys and Girls Club of Canton in his honor. Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
