Robert Knack Obituary
Born on August 30, 1958 in Arlington, Virginia to Lila Charlotte Knack and the late Robert Lewis Knack. Fondly known as Bob and Bobby, Robert was a Graphic Artist with Commonwealth Promotional in Fishersville, Virginia. He lived in the Woodstock and Waynesboro, Virginia area for over 40 years. Prior to moving to Virginia, Robert resided in Prince George's County, Maryland. He loved traveling to view vintage cars and visiting the mountain vineyards near him. Robert also loved to exercise his talent for art by drawing, painting, and sculpting. His highly adventurous side steered him to going up in hot air balloons and bi-planes to enjoy the freedom in the air. Robert's means of relaxing was to get into his 1979 red Corvette and go for a drive.
In addition to his father Robert Lewis, he was preceded in death by his sister Diana Lynn Knack.
Along with his mother Lila, Robert is survived by his siblings Debra Carol "Debbie" Ackerman and (her significant other) Henry Major and Gary Steven Knack; nephews Todd Jason Ackerman, Brian Keith Ackerman and his wife Marissa, Nathan Caleb Ackerman and his wife Christa; great nieces and nephews Chase, Colin, Callie, Breanna, Corban, Mackenzie, Caroline, Haley, and Caleb Ackerman.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024 from 11AM until time of the celebration of life service at 1PM at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646.
A private interment will take place in Wisconsin at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Robert's name to the Wounded Warrior Project, P. O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
