Robert Knight

Robert "Bob" Knight, 88, of Blairstown, NJ, passed away peacefully at his home on August 2, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on July 9, 1937, in Newark, NJ to the late Harry and Jesse (Allen) Knight. Predeceased by his parents and eight siblings.

He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1955 to 1960, deploying to Spain. Following his military service, Bob worked as a heavy equipment operator in Oxford, NJ, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication until his retirement in 1999.

A hardworking and resourceful man, Bob was known for his ability to fix just about anything around the house. His hands were rarely idle, and he found joy in being helpful and keeping things running smoothly.

Above all, Bob cherished time spent with his family. He was especially proud of his grandchildren and took great pleasure in being a part of their lives.

Bob is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Debbie; his daughters, Tiffany Knight (Jerry Carollo), and Samantha Whitmore (Ryan); and his beloved grandchildren, Ashley, Angela, Dahlia, Colton, Chance, and Cheyenne. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Bob will be remembered for his steady presence, his generosity, and the love he gave so freely to those around him. He leaves behind a legacy of strength, service, and family devotion that will be forever cherished.
