Robert Koppel was a good man, fair and impartial. He was a true professional, a teacher of correctional practice and a fine example of humanity. He ghad a great sense of humor and a healthy laugh. I will this man as a brother in the important work we shared. Do long my friend.

You were my boss but you were also my friend. You had the biggest heart, the corniest jokes, the heartiest laugh and kindest spirit. You were a great leader and mentor. I had the pleasure of working with you at two state facilities; the Maryland House of Correction and the Chesapeake Detention Facility. Only you could get me out of retirement to help you at CDF. You will truly be missed.
