Lennie Bitzer, 71, of Baltimore, MD, and formerly of Moyers, WV, passed away May 9, 1990 at her home.
She was born June 9, 1918 at Crane Crow, WV, a daughter of the late John O. and Stella Adkins.
On October 1, 1942, she married Arthur C. Bitzer Sr., who died on March 6, 1987.
She was a shop steward at Marvell Poultry Co. in Dayton before leaving for Baltimore, where she worked for the Eastern Venetian Blind Co.
She is survived by three daughters, Patricia A. Parron and Hope S. Chaney, both of Baltimore, and Joan L. Karicofe of Deland, FL; five sons, Lenize Adkins of Midkiff, WV, Douglas E. Bitzer of Moyers, WV, Arthur C. Bitzer Jr. of Bowie, Larry D. Bitzer of Riverdale and Gary G. Bitzer of Baltimore; 25 grandchildren; and siz great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Jerry Ginn. Burial will be in Doe Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
