Robert Kornfeld Obituary
Born in Newark to George and Anne (Foster)Kornfeld, Mr. Kornfeld resided in Springfield and Roselle Park before moving to Long Branch 10 years ago.
Robert was a Hairdresser for 25 years and was the co-owner of Hair Cutter's in Millburn. After retiring from the industry in 1998 he was employed as a Limousine Driver for Short Hills Limousine and GEM Limousine.
Robert proudly served his country serving in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Kornfeld enjoyed fishing and hunting, and going to the track, spending time on the beach but most of all loved time spent with his children, their spouses, and his grandchildren. Holidays were always special when Pop Pop would show up with lollipops to give to his grandchildren and their friends.
He was predeceased by his patents George and Anne (Foster) Kornfeld. Surviving is his brother Steven, son Scott and his wife Susan, son Adam and his wife Meredith, daughter Deborah Socio and her husband Carlo, and 6 grandchildren George, Travis, Alessandra, Gianna, Tyler and Ryleigh.
A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, July 6th, 2025 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm in The GLEASON FUNERAL HOME OF NORTH BRUNSWICK, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick, with Military Honors at 3:00pm.

Bobby my mom and cousin Rhoda Yanow loved you so much. She thought of you as a brother. When she died you sat with me at her house and told me stories about my mom. I appreciate you sharing the memories with me. Your family was very lucky to have you and I was lucky to get to know you!
