Robert D. Kreitzer

Robert "Bob" Kreitzer, 62, of Lewes, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on 12/16/23. He was born April 10, 1961, in Harrisburg, PA, son of the late Andrew and Dorothy (Stoner) Kreitzer.
Bob had a lengthy career in the fire service starting in Lower Allen Township PA. After moving to Delaware, he joined the Lewes Volunteer Fire Department and became a life member in 2020. He held the positions of Assistant Engineer, Chief Engineer and was an integral part of the apparatus committee for several years. He was most recently awarded Chief Engineer Emeritus.
Bob was most proud of his driving career. He first started as a heavy equipment operator for Hempt Brother Inc. in Camp Hill, PA and drove tour buses for Rohrer Bus Services in Drum, PA. When he moved to Delaware, he worked for Pep Up Inc. as a tractor trailer driver and then took a position with Sussex County Division of Environmental Services as a heavy equipment operator.
Bob is survived by his fiancé Kim Bulkilvish, his dear friends Chatham Marsch (Carol) and Dale Magee (Amy), several cousins from PA and many close friends.
Funeral services with fireman's honors will be held on Friday December 29, 2023 at 11 AM at the Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE where viewing will begin at 9 AM at the funeral home. Last call rites will follow at Station 1 Lewes.
In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to the Lewes Vol. Fire Dept., PO Box 225, Lewes, DE 19958.
