Robert Wendell Kunkle, 84, of Indiana, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, January 2, 2026. He was born in Indiana on March 27, 1941, to the late Wendell and Fannie (Dugan) Kunkle.
Robert worked as a special project manager for McCreary Tire and Rubber Co for 43 years prior to his retirement in 2004. He was a member of Graystone Presbyterian Church, the Elks Lodge 931, the Moose 174, and the Eagles 1468. He loved sports, being well known as an umpire and referee for numerous local sporting events. He enjoyed golfing with his wife and spending time at the family camp in Bradford, PA.
Surviving Robert is his wife Patricia (Roach) Kunkle, whom he married on February 15, 1964, his daughters Lea Ann Kunkle of Indiana, and Lisa (William) Eger of Hunker, PA, grandchildren Billy and Madalynn Eger, as well as a very large group of loving Roach family members.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brother Donald Kunkle.
Friends and family are invited to a memorial gathering from 2:00 – 4:00 PM, on January 17, 2026, in the Bowser Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, followed by a reception at the Elks Lodge 931.
