John Blystone Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home on Jan. 9, 2026.
John Blystone, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on January 7, 2026, in Indiana, Pennsylvania. He was born on October 27, 1958, and lived a life that brought joy and laughter to those around him. John was 67 years old at the time of his passing.

John was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, one child, a granddaughter, and a great-granddaughter. His absence is profoundly felt by his surviving children: Catherine Steffish (Timmy), Christina Cessna (Jon), Johnathan Blystone (Ashley), and Zachary Blystone (Danielle). Three step children Amanda, Bryan and Zack. He is also survived by 20+ grandchildren and one great-grandchild, as well as many others who had the privilege of knowing him as a father or grandfather.

Throughout his life, John was known for his larger-than-life personality and his unwavering love for his family. He had a deep affection for Elvis Presley and was an avid fan of WWE wrestling, often sharing his enthusiasm with his loved ones. His favorite saying, "life's a b!&^H then you marry one-in my case, I married three," reflects his unique ability to find humor in life's twists and turns.

John's legacy will not only live on through his children and grandchildren but also through the countless lives he touched throughout his journey. His warmth, humor, and love created lasting bonds that will be cherished forever.

In keeping with John's wishes, there will be no formal service held. However, donations can be made to the dialysis clinic in Indiana, PA, in his memory.

As we remember John Blystone, we invite all who knew him to celebrate his life, share stories, and hold dear the moments spent together. His spirit will forever remain in our hearts, and he will be missed immensely by family and friends alike.
