Robert Kurvin, son of the late Lamart and Lucy Jane Kurvin, was born on October 18, 1938, in Fayetteville, North Carolina. After the passing of his mother, he was blessed with a devoted stepmother, the late Bernice Wade.
In 1958, Robert moved to Paterson, New Jersey, later residing in Hamden, Connecticut, before returning to Fayetteville, North Carolina, in 1998. Robert was a kind-hearted man who loved his family and truly enjoyed being around people.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Kurvin; his son, Nakia James; his brothers, Arthur Seals, Reginald Seals, Dennis Seals, Lafayette Smith, and William Quick; and his nephew, Ronnel Kurvin.
He is survived by his brothers, Lamont Kurvin of Glen Rock, NJ; Nathaniel Kurvin of Pittsburgh, PA; and Terry Seals of Seattle, WA; his sister, Margaret Feggins of Charlotte, NC; his grandsons, Tashaun James, Landen James, Marcus Weaver, and Teyan Cannon; his nephews, Lamont Kurvin (Jacinda), Jerome Kurvin, and Marcus Feggins; his nieces, Angelina Glover, Crystal Henry (Michael), Latoya Roberts (Jerome), and Asia Young; along with a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
Special thanks to his longtime caregiver, Tonya McArthur, who became like family through her years of care and support.
Love can say the special things that words alone cannot.
