With a heart brimming with love and a spirit that shone brighter than the sun, Robert Kwiecien, known affectionately as Bob or Buddy to his grandchildren, lived his life with an inspiring dedication to his family, his faith, and his love for sport. Born on May 11th 1934 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on June 18th, 2024, Robert's 90 years on this earth were filled with remarkable achievements and boundless affection. A talented and loving husband, father, and grandfather, Robert's legacy is etched in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him.
Bob was a man of many talents, but his prowess on the bowling alley was legendary. His dedication to the sport earned him a place on the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) and later the Senior PBA, the Stroh's Bowling team in Detroit, and crowned him a champion in numerous tournaments, including the National Tournament. His remarkable talents were not confined to the bowling alley. He was the owner of Mr. K Realty which led him to his future endeavor. As an avid golfer, he was the proud owner of the Royal Scot Golf and Bowl in Lansing, Michigan, where he resided. Bobs achievements and talents were recognized when Steve Cruchon wrote an article on Bob in the Bowlers Journal, aptly titled "The Incredible Mr. K". Beyond the bowling alley and the golf course, Bob was a pillar of his community. A devoted Catholic, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the St. Gerard Catholic Church.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Arlene Kwiecien; their sons Paul (Roxanne) Kwiecien, Todd Kwiecien, Greg (Shelli) Kwiecien; grandchildren, Rob (Laura) Kwiecien, Miranda (Anthony) Dziura, Melanie (Micah) Dodge, Adam Kwiecien, Amber (Chris Pierson) Kwiecien-Pierson, Christopher (Haley) Kwiecien, April (Daniel Ramirez) Kwiecien-Ramirez; great grandchildren, Gavin and Mason Kwiecien, Audrina Cribley, Madison and Sydney Kwiecien, Christopher and Louis Kwiecien as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Maryanne Kwiecien, and his brother, Richard Kwiecien.
