Robert LaBar Obituary

Robert was a USMC Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a good "poppy" to his seven grandchildren. He was also a very devoted companion.
He is survived by his companion of 30+ years, Patty Baumgardner of Galax, VA, four daughters, Joanie Newman (Jason) of Galax, VA, Dawn Hawks (Bryan) of Galax, VA, Ashley Reynolds (Nick) of Owosso, MI, Brittany Anthony (Devon) of Fries, VA, and seven grandchildren, Kaylei, Ashlyn, Lilly, Westin, Dawson, Colton, and Raven.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Bethel Baptist Church beginning at 2:00pm with John Tilley officiating. Military honors will be conducted by Grayson Post#7726.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
The care of Mr. LaBar has been entrusted to High Country Services. Online condolences can be made at www.highcountryservice.com.
