Robert Scot Lange, 55, of Garland, TX was lovingly taken into the arms of Jesus on 10/12/2024 at Richardson Methodist Hospital after a long illness. Scot was born 04/22/1969 in Odessa, TX, lived in Japan the first two years of his life then resided in Garland, TX the remainder of his years. He graduated from North Garland High School while working at the Rib Crib Restaurant 1985-1988. Scot attended Richland College, Richardson TX from 1989-1991 while employed with F.D.I.C. in liquidating failed banks and savings and loan companies. From 1991-2006 Scot was employed as a bank auditor in the credit card division of Bank of America in Addison, TX. As health permitted Scot was also employed by Moore's Barbeque Restaurant, Bowlarama and from 2018 until 0211/22 The Track Restaurant and Sports Bar in Rowlett. Scot loved to watch and participate in basketball, baseball, football, golf, kayaking, skiing and camping.
Scott was preceded in death by grandparents Rev. Wesley and Lorraine Lange of Garland and Stella and James Dixon of Midland, TX. He is survived by one daughter Christen Lange Langlois and husband Elliott, and grandchildren Lily and Cole Langlois of Buda, TX. Scot is also survived by his parents Gary and Jane Heidelberg Lange of Garland, one sister Stephanie Lange Simpson of Red Oak, TX and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home, Sachse, TX presided over the burial service 10/26/24 at the Sachse Cemetery. The memorial service was held at The Rock of Ages Church, Dallas, TX, Pastors Woody Robinson, Darlene Taff, Associate Pastors Adam Robinson, Kay Pulley and Katie Jackson. Officiating pastor is life-long friend and mentor Katie Jackson affectionately known as "Aunt Katie."
