Robert P "Rob" Langsford

Iron Mountain – Robert "Rob" P. Langsford, 67, of Iron Mountain, Mich., passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Optalis Health and Rehabilitation, Kingsford, Mich.

He was born on March 9, 1958, in Iron Mountain to the late Robert J. and Carole (Bollone) Langsford.

He was a graduate of Iron Mountain High School, class of 1976. After graduation, he received a degree in business from Northern Michigan University.

Throughout his working career, he was an assistant manager of Red Owl Foods from 1974 until 1986, store manager of Glen's Market from 1986 until 2003, and co-manager of Walmart Super Center from 2003 until 2007.

He was employed at Forward Financial Credit Union from 2007 until his retirement in 2022, where he served as Branch Manager/Business Development Director for all Forward Financial Offices in Niagara, Iron Mountain, Pembine, and Marinette. He was named the Interim President/CEO in 2012 and served as the President/CEO from 2012 until 2022. During his time with Forward Financial, he was instrumental in helping to design and build their Iron Mountain branch, and the naming of the Veterans Memorial Bridge.

He served as Board Chairman for Dickinson Area Partnership, and DAP Executive Committee, was elected as a board member of the Iron Mountain School District in 2012, where he served as a vice president in 2016 until 2019, and later as their president from 2019 until 2025. He was on the Building and Grounds/Curriculum Committee of the Iron Mountain School Board, a member of the Niagara Area Business Association, and a board member of Dickinson County Loan Closet Advisory Board.

He is survived by his brothers, Steven (Gina) Langsford, and Gary Langsford; sister, Karen (Bruce) Powers; companion, Cheryl Pietrantonio; her children, Kate Pietrantonio, and Kipp (Maria) Pietrantonio; and her grandchildren, Brionna and Luca; nephews, and nieces, Christopher (Ginny) Powers, Carlo (Katie) Langsford, Kate Langsford, Samantha (John) Ly , Maria Langsford, and Alexa (Ronnie) Coles; and great-nephews, and great-nieces, Brody Langsford, Maverick Langsford, Jaxon Ly, Capri Coles, Malakai Powers, Kalina Powers, Aubrey Langsford, and Gia Langsford.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. Prayers will be recited at 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Iron Mountain with Rev. Fr. Michael Chenier officiating. Burial will be in the spring at Cemetery Park.
