Salem- Robert J. Le Vasseur, 88, of Salem, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. He was the husband of the late Doris (Desilets) Le Vasseur.
Born in Salem, MA, Bob was the son of the late Phillipe and Irene (Dupuis) Le Vasseur. Bob served his country honorably for four years in the U.S. Army. Returning home, Robert worked for many years as a draftsman for Atwood & Morrill in Salem.
Surviving him are his children, Lori Calnan and her husband Thomas of Lynnfield, MA, Tom Le Vasseur and his wife Mary of Salem, MA, and Peter Le Vasseur and his wife Lori of Beverly, MA; 6 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Christopher, Cian, Rylee, Colin, and Nora; a brother, Ronald Le Vasseur and his wife Jeanne, and nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours in the Berube & Sons Funeral Home, 191 Lafayette St. Salem, MA on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Burial will be private at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in Bob's name to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St. B-102 Danvers, MA 01923.
