Obituary
Robert Thomas Lehr, 90, a devout Catholic and longtime resident of Shreveport/Bossier, LA, passed unexpectedly from this life into eternal life on Tuesday, April 13th, 2021.

Robert, or "Bob" as he was known, is survived by his wife and sweetheart of 69 years, Dorothy "Dot" Lehr;  daughter, Karen and her husband, Gene;  daughter, Cindy and her husband, Mike;  daughter, Dianne;  daughter, Connie, and her husband, David; son, Ron, and his wife, Annette; and son, Steve, and his wife, Angela. His legacy continues with 21 grandchildren plus two angels in heaven; 40 great-grandchildren plus one angel in heaven, numerous family members, and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Harold G. Lehr and Lillian Hayden Lehr.

Bob was born on June 22, 1930, in Indianapolis, IN.  He proudly served in the U.S. Navy and began his family when he married Dot on October 20, 1951. In 1967, after accepting a promotion through Western Electric in Shreveport, the Lehrs moved South, leaving a large extended family in their hometown.  They took great care to keep in touch with their loved ones and visited as often as they could.

Bob continued working in Shreveport as an AT&T supervisor until retirement. He later worked part time as an airport and hospital security guard.  He loved meeting new people, dancing, swimming, and being with his family.  As a Catholic Christian and active lifelong member of the church, he has served as a Eucharistic minister and was part of the Knights of Columbus.  He is well-known for being devout in his faith, to his wife, and to his family.  His jovial spirit and kindness left lasting impressions on all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 19th at St. Jude Catholic Church, 4700 Palmetto Road in Bossier City, LA. Visitation will be from 8:30- 9:30 a.m.; Divine Mercy prayer is from 9:30- 10 a.m.; and the funeral service will begin at 10 a.m.  Any flowers may be sent to St. Jude Catholic Church but it was also in Bob's wishes that in lieu of flowers, donations may also be made to either St. Jude Catholic Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Please keep the Lehr Family lifted in your prayers.
